About us

Andrew Residence is a residential mental health treatment and nursing facility. Our multi-disciplinary teams serve adults experiencing mental illness and co-occurring disorders. We offer evidence based, collaborative and trauma-informed treatment services that align with an individual’s personal goals and needs. In addition to our mental health programming, we provide a broad range of physical health care services by our 24-hour nursing team. Andrew is for those who do not need psychiatric hospitalization and are working to achieve success living independently.

Position Purpose

  • Facilitates the acquisition of basic living skills through group and individual interventions
  • Participates in the provision of a comprehensive program of services, including providing floor coverage, interacting with residents in both individual and group settings with an emphasis on the milieu to facilitate the acquisition of independent living skills
  • Assesses mental health status daily and communicates to treatment teams
  • Assists with crisis interventions when necessary
  • Administers medications and treatments per legal order in accordance with Andrew Residence protocols

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Social, Behavioral, or Health Sciences

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates a comprehensive basic living skills program to meet the individualized needs of each resident
  • Provides education, counseling and supervision within the context of Basic Living Skills group and individual interventions
  • Provides adequate floor coverage and observes safety precautions to ensure the wellbeing of residents and staff
  • Maintains open communication with Interdisciplinary team; model appropriate behavior for residents
  • Provides education, instruction and counseling to meet individual resident personal growth and socialization needs
  • To provide intervention services and techniques that will enhance residents’ ability to achieve goals.
  • Administers medications and treatments
  • Actively evaluates the need for crisis intervention, provides de-escalation and crisis counseling and responds appropriately to emergencies to ensure resident well being
  • Helps to orient residents to their assigned floor
  • Acts as a Program Manager to assigned residents, coordinating care with the treatment team, including community professionals and personal contacts
  • Utilizes Interdisciplinary Team and building-wide communications systems to share knowledge of resident status
  • Participates in appropriate continuing education
  • Complies with applicable facility regulations, licensing and certification requirements, policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.25 per hour
