Our law firm is currently seeking to hire a highly experienced Real estate, Probate and Litigation Paralegal. Applicants must have outstanding writing, communication and computer skills. This position is currently part-time to start.
We are looking for a paralegal who possesses previous paralegal experience in litigation, probate and real estate. We are looking for someone who is a team player and ready to take initiative.
Our ideal candidate must be possess strong administrative, exceptional communication skills and strong attention to detail. Candidate must be comfortable with overseeing a busy caseload from inception to settlement.
Responsibilities
- Oversight and quality control of client files
- Examines documents by proofreading for errors in spelling in, punctuation, formatting and grammar
- Drafts various documents including memos, correspondences, memos, subpoenas, orders, affidavits, notice of sale, deeds and foreclosure related documents
- Prepares various forms, templates, reports, correspondence, legal documents, pleadings and other documents of confidential nature
- Requests title searches from title companies and prepares the title search results packet
- Performs legal research
- Serve as the point person for office manager duties including: mailing, bills, errands
- Schedule meetings, teleconferences, and appointments
- Weekly stationery and office items reorder list
- Partner update and maintain office policies as necessary
- Organize office operations and procedures
- Coordinate with IT on all office equipment
- Ensure that all items are invoiced and paid on time
- Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers and office lease
- Provide customer service support to visitors
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires
- Liaison with facility management vendors, including cleaning, catering and security services
- Plan in-house or off-site activities, like parties, celebrations and conferences
Skills
- Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
- Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Familiarity with email scheduling
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
- Paralegal certifications and JD candidates preferred.
- Bachelors degree required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.

Qualifications
- Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate
