We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in the legal industry with a focus on litigation, insurance law, general liability, subrogation, workers compensation, and commercial law. The candidate must also possess dual licenses for the Illinois state bar and Indiana state bar.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies that align with client goals and objectives.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients on a variety of legal matters.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Attend court hearings and trials, and argue on behalf of clients.
- Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Manage and prioritize a high volume of cases and deadlines.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in both Illinois and Indiana.
- 3+ years of experience in litigation, insurance law, general liability, subrogation, workers compensation, and commercial law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
