Job description

Ice production workers require the ability to repeatedly lift and stack 7 pound and 20 pound bags of ice off a conveyor belt. They start and stop the machinery, reload bagging equipment and stack filled bags on pallets. The full pallets then need to be manually wrapped with shrink wrap and put into freezers using a pallet jack.

This work can be done solo or with another person. You must be comfortable around machinery and using or learning how to use electric pallet jacks. This position is ideally suited for someone looking to pick up extra hours before/after their regular job, on weekends or just looking to make some extra money 3-5 hours/day.

Local students 18 and older looking for some extra physical activity before or after school and during summer break as well as veterans, retirees are encouraged to apply. Also, persons just wanting to keep in shape or get in shape.

We run production 7 days/week in the warm months so weekend-only work is also a possibility. The length of work days can vary depending on order requests, which very much coincide with the weather and summer temperatures.

Once trained, work schedule has flexible hours. This position is open from May – October. Persons with English as a second language or limited reading or writing skills are okay to apply.
