Key Role:
As a biologist on our team, you have the chance to shape the development and deployment of next-generation agricultural technologies and systems that will increase crop yields and food security. You will help support the design and management of government and private sector R&D programs and evaluate novel technology concepts. On our team, you’ll be able to broaden your scientific skill set across a variety of bio-based fields and contribute to the development of technical solutions for improving crops in developing countries. You will also provide management oversight towards the implementation of the client's R&D programs, along with helping oversee the operations of our team.

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in academic or industry roles related to the life sciences
- Experience with managing science and technical projects as part of a team
- Knowledge of molecular biology and genetics
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Master’s degree in Biological or Agronomic Sciences
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with laboratory techniques for molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or plant physiology
- Experience with genetic strategies for plant improvement, including tools for plant phenotyping to evaluate enhanced crops in greenhouse and field environments
- Experience using project management tools to track the progress of tasks and coordinate activities of team members
- Experience in a consulting environment, or in a biotechnology or agritech R&D environment
- Ability to exhibit flexibility and adaptability and work in a collaborative team environment, and take the initiative to move tasks forward
- Ability to demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness when dealing with uncertainty and ask insightful questions that challenge traditional thinking
- Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. Work Model
