Governor's House is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses for Per Diem coverage for all shifts.

While delivering effective nursing care, it will remain the goal of the Licensed Practical Nurse to assist all patients to achieve the most positive clinical outcome. The Licensed Practical Nurse will directly contribute to the every day planning of care and assessment to each patient.

Qualified candidates will:

• Observe conditions and report changes to Registered Nurse Supervisor
• Administer medications and perform treatments per MD orders
• Communicate effectively to Registered Nurse Supervisor and/or Physician
• Thouroughly document pertinent patient information
• Perform medication counts
• Communiate effectively to unlicensed staff and provide mentorship as part of a collective team of healthcare providers
• Promote a culture of safety and security to endure a healthy living environment
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive Protected Health Information

Licensed Practical Nurse will by currently licensed in the State of Connecticut and have up-to-date and current BLS/CPR certifications. Previous Skilled Nursing facility experience is beneficial but not required.
