THE DAILY LIFE OF A HUMAN SERVICES OUTREACH LIAISON

As a new part-time Human Services Outreach Liaison with our nonprofit, you are the superhero of our Jobs-Plus program. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to spread the word about our awesome program to the community. You get to meet and greet residents, one-on-one, and form some pretty sweet community partnerships.

As the ultimate link between the program staff and our community members, you also help organize some killer community workshops and fundraising events. Plus, you are the go-to person to help our members navigate through those tricky intake processes with external providers. And, you even maintain referral lists in our Fedcap CARES program.

Basically, you're like the glue that sticks everything together, and makes sure everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HUMAN SERVICES OUTREACH LIAISON

• High school diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
• Resident of housing developments in the service area
• Enrolled in Jobs-Plus or willingness to be enrolled in Jobs-Plus upon hire
• 2+ years of work experience
• Experience maintaining a social media presence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience working with public assistance recipients, formerly incarcerated individuals, and those affected by the challenges associated with poverty
• Covid-19 vaccination

Some postsecondary training as well as experience working with community agencies or service providers would be a plus! Do you have excellent organizational skills? Are you able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and maintain confidentiality? Do you have an eye for details? If so, you may just be perfect for this part-time position at our nonprofit!
