Job Title: Lakeside High School 1st Assistant Girls Volleyball Coach
Work Location: Lakeside High School
Nature and Scope of Position: (1 or 2 sentence summary of position)
Requires an individual who has experience in coaching at the secondary and/or
college/club level. A high degree of knowledge of the sport is required. The
individual must obtain first aid/CPR and required WIAA clock hours.
Position Reports To: Mike McCune, Athletic Director and Head Volleyball
Coach
Season: Fall 2023/2024
Salary: The salary range for the position is: Min. $3,250 Max.$4,420. Salary
placement will be at Step 0 of the Coaches Agreement unless documentation of
experience is received per the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Collective
Bargaining Agreement and Salary Schedules can be reviewed from the Human
Resources page of the Nine Mile Falls School District www.9mile.org.
Benefits: Paid sick leave (per initiative 1433)

Primary Job Functions
1. Assists the Head Coach in Girls Volleyball
2. Maintains team discipline, WIAA standards.
3. Coaches individual participants in skills necessary to achieve excellence
in volleyball.
4. Models and encourages good sportsmanship.
5. Explains eligibility requirements and participation rules to athletes.
6. Maintains equipment inventory/upkeep, schedules practices, oversees
safety, record keeping as necessary, and other duties as determined by
the Athletic Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Required Qualifications (Traits, Education, Experience, Training, physical
requirements, etc.):
1. First Aid/CPR Card
2. WSP/FBI Fingerprint Clearance
3. Ability to obtain required WIAA clock hours
4. Successful experience in coaching volleyball at the secondary,
collegiate, or club level.
5. Knowledge of effective and safe volleyball techniques.
6. Great sportsmanship, positive relationships, and effective
communication with students, families, and staff.
Desired Qualifications
1. Demonstrated ability to motivate and instruct young athletes.
2. Demonstrated ability to develop life-long character traits in students.
3. Demonstrated ability to maintain and build a highly successful
volleyball program.

5. Classified staff that would be in an overtime situation (more than 40 hours per week in
cumulative work hours) if they received this position, may not be eligible for this opening.
