Legal Specialist

We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. The Legal Specialist will oversee all resident accounts, all delinquency and obtain payments for outstanding balances. These balances will be for rent, fines, move out damages, or any other fees incurred throughout their tenancy. Communication is critical in this role to follow-up on payment plans via text, email and phone.

This is a great opportunity to gain an understanding of the inner workings of property management and real estate investing.

What you are great at:
(responsibilities)

  • Collecting, tracking, and managing delinquent accounts
  • Properly scan, upload and file all 5 day legal notices to delinquent resident’s online portal
  • Accurately post all necessary paperwork to file an eviction
  • Appear in court to follow through with the eviction process for all counties
  • Communicate effectively with all residents through email, phone and text to help answer questions, create payment plans and diffuse situations when needed
  • Utilize out system to log, track and efficiently process all documentation
  • Partner with the legal team on any lease violations
  • Ability to create payment plans, receive and enter receipts into the system
  • Answering phone calls from residents and helping to problem solve issues
  • Handling office tasks, such as filing, generating reports and monthly communication

What you have Achieved: (requirements)

  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and also with a team, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines
