Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations . This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky and New York. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the positions shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

Administers North America Leave Management (LM) program including case management, time coding, assisting with return to work as depicted by company policies and procedures. Responds to escalated HRSC Service Center inquiries. Directs employees to appropriate resources for transactions handled by other LM Reps or departments.

  • Administer leave cases, including assisting employees in determining leave type and understanding their responsibilities through their leave, sending their leave packets, coding the employee timesheets appropriately and directing employees to appropriate resources for handling other leave-related transactions (i.e., benefit plan contributions). All within service levels while following defined / written processes.
  • Maintain contact, via phone calls and/or email, with employees on leave, covering expectations and detailed information, ensuring necessary status information is provided/or received based on process timelines. Updating case information in the case management system based on policy and procedures. Coordinate information with appropriate internal resources in HR and Safety and with external third-party administrators. All within service levels
  • Assist with managing the inbound emails into the LM and Vendor team email inboxes, Workers’ Compensation Initial Reports, and back up co-workers during their absences.
  • Conduct research, investigate inquiries, and attempt to minimize escalations. Suggest process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two (2) years experience in Human Resources or Leave/Disability environment OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
  • Maintain confidentiality, high degree of data accuracy, high quality customer service.
  • Capable of identifing and addressing critical issues and while exercising some independent judgment
  • Work with close supervision and manage large workloads effectively & efficiently, while maintaining a high standard of customer service.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Functional knowledge of Workers’ Compensation, Short-Term disability (STD), Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Military and Personal leaves
  • Knowledge with FMLA regulatory requirement
  • Proven experience in providing both internal and external customer service


Criteria/Conditions:

  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $22.00 - $30.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
