Job description
Position SummaryAssists in planning, developing, and implementing training activities for branch operations. Identifies training needs and designs support materials including computer presentations, manuals, workbooks, and scripts. Various modes of delivery will be used including web-based, video, and instructor-led. Assists in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and employee performance. Assist in the preparation of the training budget.
Qualifications/Experience
- Understanding of job functions and operations at all levels of the Credit Union.
- Knowledge of Trainer and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and the effective application in a business setting.
- Knowledge of adult learning styles and needs assessments.
- Knowledge of training systems and resources.
- Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written); formal presentation skills.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills; highly motivated and well-organized.
- Must be comfortable delivering training to employees at all levels in the credit union and have excellent collaborative skills.
- Requires education and training in order to understand and train on a wide range of related activities for member service, sales, communication, leadership development, branch and teller operations, and compliance.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail. Able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to plan, develop and implement curriculum.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently, and as part of a team.
- Ability to coach staff in the area of career development, job performance, and motivation. Maintain integrity of confidential employee information.
- Ability to understand, immerse, and display Hawaii State FCU’s culture.
- Must have at least four years of related experience in Learning and Development.
