Leadership Coach

WHAT WE SEEK

Our Professional Learning team is looking for a highly motivated, passionate educational leader to join our incredible team of professional learning experts who facilitate the highest-quality professional learning experiences across the US.

As a Leadership Coach you will work directly with building principals, instructional coaches, and classroom teachers across the district to foster a growth mindset, build capacity, and mentor leaders. As a member of the Professional Learning team, the Leadership Coach will report to the Director in their region.


WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Delivering High-Quality Professional Learning

  • Building deep customer partnerships with building leaders, coaches, and teachers in your assigned schools
  • Consistently and effectively delivering job-embedded coaching and support to improve school leadership as well as teaching and learning across your schools. Some examples may include:
    • Formal Coaching Cycles
    • Demonstration Lesson Cycles
    • Lesson Planning
    • Co-Teaching
    • PLC Facilitation
    • Leadership Walkthroughs
  • Documenting classroom visits and leadership walkthroughs via Media-X and provide feedback for individual teachers as a model for building leaders and coaches regularly
  • Delivering engaging professional learning workshops; including, but not limited to, initial implementation workshops, leadership workshops, and partnership meetings
  • Designing and delivering custom professional learning workshops according to the needs of individual schools
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying risks to implementation success and developing effective action plans for resolution, collaborating with others where appropriate

Collaborating Across Partnerships

  • Supporting and collaborating with the Customer Success team across schools and partnerships by:
    • Collaboratively developing a full-scale scope of work in partnership with the customer success team and other Leadership Specialists
    • Scheduling and managing all professional learning in your assigned schools according to the scope of work and ensures thorough data collection and reporting
    • Maintaining required documentation across all assigned schools
    • Facilitating and/or contributing to partnership meetings with key stakeholders to promote data-driven accountability

Other Fun Work

  • Actively forecasting current and future service deliverable goals (weekly) for your assigned schools
  • Developing correlations, custom curriculum, rubrics and/or other documents to support specific partner needs
  • Developing and using collaborative relationships within and across departments in order to influence product development, contribute to marketing and thought leadership efforts, etc. as a representation of our teachers and leaders
  • Performing other duties as assigned or apparent

WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BOOKBAG

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (required), Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (preferred)
  • 5+ years of classroom teaching experience
  • 3+ years of educational leadership experience (principal experience preferred)
  • Experience mentoring and/or coaching others
  • Experience designing and delivering professional learning workshops
  • Understanding of school and district infrastructure including technology environments and management
  • Exceptional time management skills including detailed calendar management, effective goal setting, efficiency in task prioritization, and consistently meets deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment maintaining a positive attitude in stressful situations
  • Ability to remain solution-minded and detail-oriented; always looking for ways to improve efficiency, communication as well as the team and/or customer experience
  • Ability to follow through on assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
