As a Lead Software Engineer in CCB Ops Tech-Service you would oversee ownership and direction of foundational banking applications serving over 100k users each day. As a Software Engineer in our team, you will work hands on with development teams to insure applications meet risk, compliance and modernization standards. You will gain in-depth understanding of the technology ecosystem, application flows for serving customers and drive modernization toward target state.

Job responsibilities

• Hands-on experience using Java and Spring Boot (understanding Spring internals)
• Willingness to work on teams that develop highly scalable, secure, and resilient applications utilizing Java, Spring Core, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, Hibernate, Kubernetes, Swagger
• Proficiency with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Test Driven Development (TDD). Hands on experience with test automation frameworks, such as Junit, Mockito, Cucumber
• Excellent understanding of security standards, such as OAuth, TLS, JWT, Kerberos etc.
• Good understanding of Domain Driven Design, microservices patterns, and modern/emerging architectures
• Experience with log/metric collection and monitoring technologies, such as ELK stack, Dynatrace, Grafana is a plus
• Hands-on experience with building CICD pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, AWS Code Deploy
• Experience with AWS services, such as S3, EKS, SQS, Lambda, Terraform is highly desirable
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrate independent problem solving skills and ability to develop solutions to complex analytical/data-driven problems
• Fast learning, capable of solving complex problems and creating simple solutions
• Involve in production support and development activities for assigned applications and projects

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Strong front-end development skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and React
• Proficient in one of the back-end programming languages - Java/Python
• Understanding of micro-services and event driven architecture
• AWS Cloud Certified candidates will be given priority.
• Experience with Agile scrum methodology and CI/CD deployment
• Familiarity with Spring framework and Spring Boot applications

Preferred qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Knowledge of RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and SQL queries
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies (preferably AWS) and Containers
