Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for Lead Sales Representative positions with a company that has been manufacturing vehicular lighting systems and electro-mechanical systems for the Department of Defense as well as major vehicle suppliers to the military.

Position Details
Location: Remote
Compensation: $85K - $95K + Commission is Uncapped (~$200K+ a year if all goals are met)
Travel: 50%

Position Description
As a Lead Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new sales from the U.S. military and Prime OEMs that are selling to the government (such as BAE, Lockheed Martin, Oshkosh Defense, etc.). The company manufactures lighting, wire harnesses, and other electro-mechanical products for the U.S. military, and have an excellent track record of supplying these parts to the government on-time and with perfect quality. You will play a vital role in company growth by building strong relationships with new and existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth. Responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to increase revenue and market share in the government contracting industry.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with government agencies and Prime OEMs that are selling to the government.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in government agencies and Prime OEMs.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential customers and stay up to date on industry developments.
  • Prepare and present proposals and quotations to customers, and negotiate pricing and contracts as needed.
  • Assist with the creation of marketing campaigns and materials that support sales efforts.
Position Requirements
  • BS Degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in government related sales.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers.
  • Track record of success in achieving weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas.
  • Prior military experience highly desired.
