Senior Scrum Master

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking highly-qualified Scrum Masters at the Manager level who have experience executing scrum methodologies towards digital transformation projects. This Senior Agilist role fundamentally guides the modern software development team by taking an active role in planning, facilitation to achieve our committed outcomes. This role requires solid, practical experience with Agile techniques and approaches to guide, support and improve product teams. You will collaborate intensively with your team members and Product Owners. You will also interact with Cognizant clients to mentor, consult, and assist them in making appropriate process decisions and solve any blocking points.

Roles/Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies - Sprint planning, retrospective, backlog refinement & estimation, daily standup, Demo, Feature refinement, Program increment planning and readiness.
- Work with Product owner and other stakeholders to plan the future sprint work based on business priority.
- Collaborate with other scrum teams for managing dependencies, risks and issues
- Help with the impediments for the scrum team and coach and guide the team on agile principles and processes and tools.
- Closely monitor team progress and provide status updates to leadership team.
- Continuously retrospect and adjust the team working agreement, Definition of done and definition of ready.
Required Qualifications:
- STEM (Preferred) Bachelors' Degree and 12-15 years’ experience with at least 6 years in Agile Projects or Product development work
- At least 5 years working on scaled modern development product portfolios.
- Demonstrated ability and experience implementing canned Scaled Frameworks, or ability to adapt them to create a hybrid that is relevant to each client situation.
- 5+ years’ experience delivering value into PROD using MVP tests, validated learning with Digital engineering tool chains, experienced in software delivery.
- Agile Certifications such as CSM or PSM or SAFe SM – At least one Scrum Certification required from Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org, Scruminc.com or SAFe
- Agile Certificates or Certifications in Product Management and at least one Scaling Framework preferred.
- Agile Certificates or Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma and Kanban preferred.
- Experience shifting companies from project to product.
Location: Charlotte, NC – Onsite.
