Laboratory Technician I (Scientific)
Duration: 6+ Months
Framingham, MA. on-site 100%.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficient use of laboratory equipment (pH meter, balances, etc.) to support laboratory
- compliance (calibration/standardization, equipment maintenance, etc.)
- Carry Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) during the day and after hour mobile phone for critical instruments/equipment.
- Perform instrument maintenance on simple instruments such as Spectramax etc.
- Perform weekly laboratory safety checks.
- Prepare and scan logbooks.
- Archive documents to offsite location as needed.
- Operation of simple lab equipment such as pH meter, centrifuges, balances, etc.
- Provide support and maintenance for the pipette calibration program.
- Acts as a liaison to Sanofi Metrology department ensuring that equipment are calibrated in a timely manner.
- Responsible for monitoring expiry dates of chemicals/reagents and ensuring that all analysts are following current systems in place for maintenance of reagents/chemicals.
- Performs routine lab duties including maintenance of water baths, centrifuges, cuvettes, fume hoods, sinks, eyewash stations, refrigerators, freezers, cold rooms, and incubators, datalogger system, defrosting of freezers and overall cleanliness within Analytical Development (AD) laboratories.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a lab environment or an Associate’s degree or Biotechnology certificate with a minimum of 1 year of lab experience.
- Experience operating simple lab equipment such as pH meter and analytical balance.
- Familiarity with GLP/GMP laboratory controls.
- Experience with MS office specifically Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in GMP lab environment
Must-Have Skills:
- GMP Experience is preferred
- Ability to adapt to change & strong multi-tasking skills
- This an entry-level position, candidates with MA Degrees & Ph.D. may be considered overqualified

Bachelor's Degree: willing to train if we think the candidate has potential. Preferred 1yr of lab experience
