Job description
Freeline is a fast-growing and evolving clinical-stage biotechnology company at the forefront of gene therapies that could change patients’ lives. Our roots go back ten years to University College London, where Founder, Clinical and Scientific Adviser and Director Amit Nathwani published ground-breaking research showing the healing potential of gene therapy for patients with severe hemophilia B. Professor Nathwani’s discoveries led to the founding of Freeline in 2015. Over the past six years, we’ve developed a pipeline of four programs and an industry-leading approach to CMC and analytics, a critical factor in the success of gene therapy. In 2020, we completed an IPO on Nasdaq.
We are a growing company, with a European and American footprint, headquartered just outside of London in Stevenage, UK and with offices and laboratories in London and Planegg near Munich, Germany and in the US in Boston and New York. While we are spread across Europe and America and come from diverse backgrounds, we all share one common goal: to free patients and their families from the painful constraints of inherited diseases with the promise of functional cures.
If you join Freeline, you’ll work alongside people who aren’t just brilliant but also kind and collaborative, and who are proud of the milestones the company has accomplished while also looking ahead at the breakthrough innovations we plan to make in the near future. If you’re driven by scientific discovery that has the potential to liberate patients through the promise of functional cures, we invite you to join us.
