Your Main Tasks (50%):

  • Manage accounting staff to ensure proper accounting processes are followed
  • Manage full-cycle accounting including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliation, month-end close, and cash flow planning
  • Preparation and maintenance of budget and cash flow forecast
  • Monthly submissions of division’s financial reporting
  • Maintain general ledger and financial files in accordance with US GAAP
  • General financial support and management accounting duties

External Collaboration:

  • Handle credit clearances and credit insurance and coordinate other insurance renewals
  • Calculate and distribute reports for salesman commission and make payments
  • Act as primary liaison for internal and external audits
  • Maintain compliance in reporting with all required tax authorities and jurisdictions
  • Process all foreign currency transactions for Canada and U.S.
  • Process and maintain records for duties, bond payments, and import expenses

Other :

  • Identify improvements and efficiencies in accounting and financial reporting procedures, including software enhancements and upgrades
  • Process employee expense reports and reimbursement payments

Your Profile:

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in accounting. CPA required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years direct experience in accounting
  • Extensive experience with MS Office programs (especially Word and Excel)
  • NetSuite experience a plus
  • The most successful candidate is highly committed, driven, detailed, and enjoys supporting a passionate team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to meet multiple pending deadlines

At KJUS we feel that working from the office as much as possible increases collaboration, innovation, and productivity while contributing to our strong company culture. Candidates for this role are required to be local to the office and cannot be remote. However, after the first 60 days of employment, they have the option to partake in our hybrid work model if they believe they will thrive by incorporating the flexibility of a mixture of in-office and remote work.
