Job Title: Journeyman Equipment Specialist

Job Description:

The Employee will support the Agile Combat Support, Human Systems division, WNU. As the Equipment Specialist the employee is responsible for, but not limited to

• Serve as a technical expert on complex and sophisticated systems, subsystems, and equipment to include collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and developing specialized reports.

• Provide support for all aspects of design, test, production, procurement, supply, operation, repair, or disposal of equipment.

• Provide assistance in analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and technical data.

• Apply practical knowledge of the characteristics, properties, and uses of equipment.

• ensure the recommended solution meets the technical requirements and identify

if a similar item already exists in the Government’s inventory (or may be modified) to satisfy the

requirement in lieu of procuring recommended SE.

• Assist in the review and provide feedback on technical suggestions for

improvements and alterations related to the equipment they manage under the Airmen Powered

by Innovation (API) Program.

Required Skills/Education:

Minimum of seven (7) years of experience without a BA/BS degree OR three (3) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline with a BA/BS degree.

Education: High School or GED Equivalent

Years’ Experience: 7 Years

Travel: Yes

Security Clearance Required: Must have Active Secret clearance to apply.
