JANITORIAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Gavora, Inc. is hiring for a Janitor to perform routine and deep-cleaning functions in Mall settings to ensure that the facilities remain safe and sanitary. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 6am-2pm, 2 days in Fairbanks, and 2 days in North Pole, with a rotation 1 day a week, shift times may be flexible upon discussion during the interview process.

Responsibilities

· Ensure a clean working environment.

· Conduct weekly inventory of supplies and equipment needed to maintain sanitation.

· Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.

· Maintain restrooms in clean, orderly and sanitary conditions.

· Sanitize toilets/urinals.

· Clean sinks, counters, and mirrors.

· Check for graffiti, remove or paint as needed.

· Empty garbage.

· Replace and refill if necessary, toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap.

· Clean windows.

· Dust ledges and woodwork.

· Maintain cleanliness of the outside grounds to include picking up litter, sweeping sidewalks, mowing lawns, shoveling snow, applying ice control material to entrances of buildings.

· Other related tasks or projects as assigned.

· Punctual and Reliable.

· Dependable transportation.

· Good communication skills.

· Honest with a good work ethic.

· Ability to solve problems independently.

· Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift over 50 pounds.
• Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
