IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for developing and managing all Renewal by Andersen of the Carolinas (RbAC) IT equipment, programs and initiatives. The focus of this role will be to design and develop scalable technology programs and solutions that align with our company culture, business objectives, and growth strategy. The incumbent needs to be highly organized, an advanced problem solver, able to manage multiple projects and priorities at any given time and have a strong background and aptitude with the Microsoft and Apple platforms. The incumbent needs to be adept at executing and bringing projects to completion within required timelines. In addition, this individual will need to be able to manage both internal and external IT and business resources.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE

  • Working with our external Managed Service Provider (MSP) and using their written IT security protocols, you will monitor and maintain IT security standards and protocols with RbAC employees, including standard security settings and operating procedures for accessing and using the RbAC Microsoft tenant; insure the execution of relevant teammate training programs and documentation from the MSP on an ongoing basis.
  • Management of our single IT Managed Service Provider and other software vendor partners including our contract renewals, service level agreements, scheduling vendor meetings, and holding vendors accountable for these standards and service deliverables.
  • Must have experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining proper IT onboarding and offboarding programs, overseeing an external help desk system, creating relevant IT policies, and process documentation if needed.
  • Working independently and in coordination with our MSP, develop an audit schedule and processes to maintain and manage accounts and licenses. Audits to include but not limited to Microsoft 365, distribution lists, Adobe, Zoom, DocuSign, Verizon SIM cards, our Dell Laptop and Apple iPad fleets.
  • This position will play a primary role in IT project management and delivery and must be able to manage 2 to 3 multi-location issues/ projects at any given time.
  • Act as an escalation point for resolving all internal IT software, hardware and network connectivity issues including setup, connectivity, functionality as needed.
  • Stay current with relevant technology trends and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions for efficiency and productivity.
  • Onsite support, including new equipment set up as needed; other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING | THE PERSON

  • Strong technical capability and aptitude, including knowledge of IT security best practices and technologies. Apple experience a plus.
  • Exceptional vendor management skills.
  • Process oriented with good business analysis and requirements gathering skills, adept at problem solving and using given resources.
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow through with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying degrees of priority both in a team and independent setting.
  • Ability to pivot with our ever-changing business needs is required.
  • Polished and professional communication style required, ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • 1-3 years of professional IT experience with technical knowledge of a variety of applications and front-end administration technical solutions required.
  • At least 1 year managing technical projects or programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree
