Moog, Inc. is looking for a Manager, IT Asset Management.
As the Manager, IT Asset Management you will be responsible for leading Moog’s disciplines around lifecycle management of software, hardware, and other IT assets.
This position will lead a team of IT professionals to develop and maintain a world-class IT Asset Management function that is responsive to our stakeholder needs and delivers on key IT objectives. As a partner to both our Corporate and Operating Group IT teams, you will provide guidance and leadership to your team to drive the future of IT Asset Management at Moog. To be successful in this opportunity it is important that you not only have a strong understanding of IT Asset Management, IT Service Management, and IT Vendor Management, but also have the ability to understand the perspective of the customer and work collaboratively to identify and deliver value-added capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the strategic and operational management of hardware, software, and other information technology assets in use at Moog
- Formulate and define policies, processes, and standards around the appropriate selection, purchasing, use, and monitoring of IT assets throughout their lifecycle
- Develop and maintain the IT asset inventories leveraging Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and IT Service Management (ITSM) systems and tools to provide a single source of truth for IT assets consumed by the organization
- Inventory, monitor, and report on software license agreements, maintenance agreements, and software subscriptions to ensure compliance and adherence to our contractual requirements
- Manage software license renewals for enterprise licensed software titles, and partner with other IT leaders to advise on renewal strategies as needed
- Lead IT asset audit remediation efforts in support of both internal and external asset audit requirements
- Ensure that ITAM-related tools and services are properly evaluated, selected, implemented, configured, and maintained, with appropriate integration with other sources of organizational data.
- Define and evaluate critical success factors and key performance indicators for ITAM function to identify opportunities to improve process or team performance
- Partner with other IT teams to ensure proper integration of ITAM processes with IT Service Management, IT Vendor Management, IT Finance and other related process disciplines.
- Serve as an empathetic and effective people leader, driving the development and growth of the team to improve employee engagement and team outcomes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in the Information Technology field, with at least 3 years leading teams
- At least 4-5 years of hands-on experience working in the IT Asset Management discipline
- Strong knowledge of IT Asset Management and IT Service Management Platforms such as Snow License Manager, Flexera, or ServiceNow
- Direct experience sourcing and procuring IT Services as well as reviewing, negotiating, and executing IT Contracts
- Proven aptitude and experience with strategic decision-making, planning, vision and governance for IT business operations
- Demonstrated capabilities in leading strategic implementations particularly with gaining buy-in from diverse stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated competence communicating with all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- IT Asset Management or ITIL Certifications
