Job Title: loT Software Engineer

Job Location: Poughkeepsie, NY/Remote

Job Type: Fulltime/Permanent

Your role:

You will spearhead the ongoing design and development of our next-generation building automation products. While working in an Agile development process, you will design, implement, and document software to run on embedded and web platforms.

As part of our team, you will create advanced control algorithms, project and product documentation, and IoT based building control systems. Job functions will include system level design for new products, new feature development for existing products, and meeting ever-evolving customer/business requirements and opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

· Extensive embedded Linux experience.

· Experience with the AWS cloud platform

· Solid understanding and experience in design patterns, data structures, and advanced programming techniques

· Knowledge of embedded software such as interrupts, ADCs, DMA, SPI, and clock management

· Solid knowledge of:

· C/C++

· PHP/Laravel

· JavaScript/Node.js

· REACT

· Python (for legacy product support)

· MySQL design and maintenance experience.

· Experience with various networking protocols (SSH / TCP/IP / MQTT)

· Strong analytical skills and a desire to learn

· Excellent written/verbal communications skills

· Ability to work independently, without direct supervision

Desired Qualifications:

• Foundation in control theory, and experience with control systems
• Some experience with mobile development using
• Experience working with Debian / Ubuntu production environments
• Comfortable using GIT for version control
• Ability to understand electrical schematics and the fundamentals of analog circuits
• Strong understanding of full product life-cycle management.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in an engineering/STEM field.
• Master’s (Preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $118,103.26 - $120,231.88 per year
