Location/Division Specific Information
Unity Lab Services provides a single source for integrated lab service, support, and supply management. Our customized service offerings and world-class service experts have the flexibility and experience to uniquely address our customer’s laboratory's business needs.
This position will be required to work at multiple sites; St Paul MN (2 locations), Plymouth MN, Minnetonka MN
A day in the Life:
Stockroom management, stocking of product, and follow instructions/ coordination of affiliated stockroom activities.
Perform stockroom duties to include receiving, put-away, stock rotation, and placing orders
Listens to customer concerns, effectively diffuses dissatisfaction, and quickly identifies course of action with a goal of quick resolution
Independently make decisions and use available support resources to meet customer needs
Requires the ability to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 pounds, including operation and use of pushcarts, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
Keys to Success:
Education
High school diploma required
Associate degree/ Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Experience
1+ years of customer service or customer facing experience preferred
1+ years warehouse or inventory management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrates ability to read, write and speak English fluently, using strong communication skills and desire to deliver excellent customer service, including maintaining a professional appearance in all interactions and upholding Thermo Fisher Scientific's values.
Possesses the interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate with various levels of Thermo Fisher personnel & customers.
Demonstrates computer proficiency and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software. Uses organizational skills to multi-task and meet due dates as needed.
Works primarily at customer sites, which requires working independently. Work areas may include spaces where chemical-based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc.)
Extensive walking/standing may be required for 75-85% of the day, as well as driving between sites in the Metro. A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation is required.
