POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST
Control site inventory in support of the company of Automated People Mover (APM) systems. Activities include inputting, tracking, and reporting the following: work orders, assets, preventative and repair maintenance, failure monitoring, and asset management.
The Inventory Control Specialist position requires an individual who is detail-oriented to effectively manage the company’s inventory. The Inventory Control Specialist has the primary responsibility of increasing and maintaining company profitability by maintaining accurate inventory levels using the computerized inventory systems. Coordinate all activities of receiving, tracking, allocating, and replacing of spare parts by requesting the parts, tools and materials. Candidate also ensures that optimal inventory is present and ready for use.
Essential Functions:
· Record, control and monitor site inventory using computerized inventory systems.
· Coordinate all storeroom activities including the receipt, recording, tracking, allocation and replacement ordering of spare parts, tools and other materials.
· Coordinate deliveries and shipping.
· Coordinate returning parts for repairs.
· Track and follow up on returned parts, repairs and warranties.
· Issue parts to work orders for maintenance.
· Monitor inventory levels by producing monthly summary list of system consumables and a monthly report of open and closed items.
· Assist with the purchase requisition and purchase order process.
Other duties may include:
· Assist in the off-site pick-up as well as the site wide allocation of parts, tools and other materials.
· Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
· Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/License:
· Experience with Microsoft Office.
· 2-3 years inventory/shipping/receiving experience.
· Inventory control training preferred.

Pay: $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
