Job description
St. Joseph School Cockeysville has an opening for a dynamic Intermediate Teacher for the 2023-24 School Year. The classroom teacher will be responsible for all aspects of the class including collaborative planning with the grade partner, grading, classroom management, and communicating with families. The successful candidate will hold a current Maryland State Teaching Certificate and have experience working with elementary aged students.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implementation of curriculum using a variety of techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students
- Assessment and grading including use of PowerSchool
- Classroom management and all duties assigned to this teacher
- Participation as part of faculty in all meetings and activities
- Collaborating with school leadership and larger faculty to create positive culture throughout the building
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education
- MSDE Certified
- Successful experience in student teaching or classroom teaching.
- Knowledgeable in technology use and integration
- Practicing Catholic preferred
- Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
