The University of Northern Iowa's School of Music seeks applicants for a one-year term position as Instructor of Violin, starting in August 2023. This position will provide individual instruction to undergraduate and graduate students in violin performance as well as provide instruction in orchestra repertory, high string techniques, string literature, string pedagogy, music education and/or liberal arts core (general education) depending on qualifications and/or department need. This position will also take an active role within the department's student recruitment activities.

Education Requirements:
Master's degree in music with evidence of degree completion by August 1, 2023 required.
Required Qualifications:
Required qualifications include demonstrated excellence in violin performance; evidence of understanding a broad range of performance styles including a strong profile as a soloist, chamber musician, and/or orchestral performer; and at least two years of experience as a studio teacher at the collegiate level required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree and demonstrated experience as a chamber musician and coach.
