Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roofing Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and expertise particularly in commercial, and industrial roofing projects.

As a Commercial and Industrial Roofing Inspector, your primary responsibility is to assess and evaluate the quality, integrity, and compliance of commercial and industrial roofing systems. You will conduct thorough inspections, identify potential issues or deficiencies, and provide detailed reports outlining your findings. Your expertise in roofing materials, construction techniques, and industry regulations will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, durability, and efficiency of roofing systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Roof Inspection:

Perform comprehensive inspections of commercial and industrial roofing systems to assess their condition, quality, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Identify and document any roofing defects, damages, leaks, or potential issues that may affect the performance and longevity of the roof.

Compliance and Regulations:

Ensure that roofing installations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and manufacturer specifications.

Verify the compliance of roofing materials, flashing, insulation, ventilation, and other components with applicable codes and guidelines.

Report Generation:

Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and necessary repairs or maintenance actions.

Document inspection data, measurements, photographs, and other relevant information accurately and thoroughly.

Communicate inspection results to clients, contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct quality control assessments to ensure that roofing installations meet established standards and specifications.

Verify that roofing materials are properly installed, sealed, and secured, and that workmanship meets industry best practices.

Consultation and Support:

Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding roofing system selection, installation, maintenance, and repairs.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to resolve roofing-related issues and ensure optimal performance and longevity of roofing systems.

Continuous Learning and Development:

Stay updated on the latest roofing materials, technologies, and industry advancements through ongoing education, training, and professional development.

Maintain knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices related to commercial and industrial roofing.

Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a roofing inspector, preferably in commercial and industrial settings.

Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, construction techniques, and industry standards.

Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify roofing defects and potential issues.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Proficient in using inspection tools, equipment, and technology, such as moisture meters, thermal cameras, and drone imaging.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

Relevant certifications or qualifications in roofing inspection or related fields (e.g., Roofing Quality Assurance, Roofing Inspection Certification) are preferred.
