WHAT YOU’LL DO
While helping to maintain the current environment of on-prem Infrastructure, you will deliver Cloud architecture services across Azure, with a focus on automation and operational management. You will create new adaptive infrastructure standards that maximize what Azure has to offer in a relevant manner that applies to AVI-SPL. This role will work closely with all members of the Infrastructure team, Software Engineering Team, and various stakeholders to provide the full complement of Azure Infrastructure & Cloud solutions.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
- As part of the Infrastructure team, provide senior level day-to-day support for AVI-SPL’s existing on-prem Infrastructure environment, based Cisco HyperFlex & VMWare.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment, serving as a go-to resource for Azure knowledge and effectively elevating the collective knowledge and effectiveness of the team.
- Provide guidance and sound decision making logic for on-prem vs Cloud provisioning options.
- Across AVI-SPL’s global footprint, logically organize and design Azure services, from Tenant level, Subscriptions, Management/Admin Zones, Data Landing Zones, and VNET Peering tiers.
- Extend deep insight and provisioning services for all Azure Services, including ExpressRoute/Networking Services, Native Azure Serverless Services, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, according to best practices in support of AVI-SPLs computing, storage, data, and network requirements.
- Review and manage Azure RBAC and ABAC.
- Monitor Azure cloud-based systems for availability, performance, reliability, security, using tools like Azure Monitor, App Insights, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Trusted Advisor, or similar.
- Develop and integrate cloud automation tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Develop an effective cost monitoring approach for cost containment of Azure services.
- Develop documentation for best practices, configuration, deployment, automation executions of team.
- Assist with Infrastructure automation services in Everything-As-Code build scenarios, using Azure Events Hub, Azure DevOps, and senior level scripting using YAML & Power Script.
- Design and support advanced and complex identity, authentication, SSO, & MFA methods, including AD, AAD, Radius, SAML 2.0, & Cisco DUO.
- Design, Implement, & Support Hybrid Infrastructure solutions between Azure & On-Prem environments.
- Be part of Azure Cloud migration which involves large scale migration of windows and Linux
- Perform high level application portfolio analysis to identify candidate applications and workloads for migration to the Cloud.
- Ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and requirements.
- Provide Production level Infrastructure support services as part of an on-call rotation.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must-Haves:
An approachable disposition in an open team environment with a willingness to help and knowledge share.- Experience in any of Azure cloud migration tools such as Azure Migrate, Cloudscape, Cloudamize, RiverMeadow etc.
- Hands-on experience on enterprise level cloud migration projects in Azure public cloud
- Experience in application/ system architecture, building/ running distributed/ scalable solutions on the Azure platform.
- Ability to diagnose complex problems - troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix, and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
- Fundamental comprehension of Azure Services design intent and offerings.
- Experience in application/ system architecture, building/ running distributed/ scalable solutions on the Azure platform.
- Senior level understanding of database architecture. (SQL, Dataverse).
- Senior level understanding of VMware and V-center management.
- Senior level skills with PowerShell scripts, DevOps, and ARM templates to automate the provisioning and deployment process.
- Understanding of on- premise\cloud VPN connectivity etc.
- Senior level understanding of Governance, Security, Backup, Identity and DR concepts
- Understanding of network design principles VPN, Express route, Load balancing, Azure Application gateway, WAF, Network watcher, Traffic manager, User define Routing etc.
- Installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks
- Senior level understanding of core Windows Server functions and services. (i.e. DNS,
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent multitasking capabilities while adapting to changing priorities.
- Solid organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Minimum of 7+ years' experience overall Microsoft Infrastructure industry experience
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a Microsoft/Office 365 tenant level administration
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Azure Cloud Infrastructure.

Microsoft Azure Certifications- Experience with Dev Ops Pipelines
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sit & focus on computer screens for extended periods of time.- Lift & handle Server Room level equipment – rack & stacking servers.
- Working & standing in a cold Data Center environment as needed for an extended period of time.
