GGI is seeking an experienced Information Technology Support Technician to join our fight against climate change and its destructive and catastrophic impacts. The Technician will work with the company's senior leadership team and staff on a daily basis to implement and administer their Information and Communication Technology needs. This position is hybrid (onsite and work from home) and requires some travel.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Deploy and maintain all company computers (desktops, servers, and laptops), iPads and Smart phones
  • Proactively research and evaluate network requirements
  • Develops hardware/software solutions to provide required services to maintain/expand the secured private
  • Perform daily maintenance of network services, ensures quality and reliable connectivity to the network
  • Monitors network logs for information tracking or audit requirements
  • Manage, monitors, and supports internal and external firewalls to protect the Network from intrusions
  • Establish and maintain network files and security to ensure that critical applications are always available
  • Research and evaluates network requirements
  • Develop hardware and software solutions to provide required services with the network
  • Support implementation of activities related to expansion of network hardware or software applications
  • Review and documents requirements prior to the installation of hardware or software to ensure conformity to Network policies
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity plan documentation for Information Technology
  • Develop and/or recommend revisions to Network operating procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • An associate degree
  • Information Technology related diploma or trade certifications
  • Minimum three (3) years’ verifiable work experience in an IT support / administration
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS and iOS products, servers, network equipment, PCs, tablets and printers
  • Ability to configure operating systems, install applications, support, and repair equipment
  • Good organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to move equipment up to 25 lbs.

  • A bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Some coding ability
  • Cellular communication system
  • Creative and critical thinking ability
  • Customer-focused and team player
