UI Health is seeking an Information Services Supervisor to join our Diagnostic Services team. This role will coordinate the scheduling and clerical duties on an ongoing basis in the Diagnostic Services department. Assist in the development and management of policies related to scheduling unit. Supervise and train the clerical staff on an ongoing basis for the Diagnostic Services scheduling division.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the logistics and activities of the Scheduling unit
  • Provides supervision and training for operations Scheduling unit
  • Develops standard operating procedures for scheduling unit
  • Orients and train staff on standard departmental operating procedures
  • Assists in evaluating the staff
  • Performs clerical duties such as patient scheduling, insurance verification, patient registration, making reminder calls, etc. as needed
  • Handles patient/customer complaints
  • Submits IS tickets to resolve technical/system issues
  • Submits various reports to management as needed
  • Manages equipment issues in the assigned area
  • Performs audits as necessary
  • Monitors the calls to the Scheduling unit for QI purposes and provide recommendations as necessary
  • Performs specialized functions such as Pre-Certification and Film room functions as needed
  • Responds to inquiries from patients, physicians and staff
  • Participates in QI activities
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Required:


  • Any one or combination totaling four (4) years (48 months) from the categories below:

    A. College coursework in any field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

    • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
    • Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
    • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
    • Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)

    B. Progressively more responsible work experience requiring organizing, assigning, and coordinating the work of others and disseminating information effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer Service experience,
  • Excellent Attendance, interpersonal skills, and work history
