Charleston Glass Mat is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician at our manufacturing facility in North Charleston, SC. This is an opportunity to become part of a family friendly team and have that work life balance.

Schedule: 7:00pm – 7:00am (Rotating days 2,2,3)
Job status: Full time – Permanent
Salary: $26.00 - $32.00 (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, fix, and maintain rollers, hydraulic and pneumatic machines, bearings, cup links, 2 & 3 phase motors, along with other various machines/equipment
• Welding - mig, tig, stick, flux, and fab ***Must have some skills***
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and adjust
• Welding – Mig, Tig, Flux, & Fab
• Use various hand, power, alignment, and precision tools, as well as electric meters, while handling equipment in performing duties
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report any unusual situations to Supervisor
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Any other duties assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
• 3 years Mechanical, Maintenance, and Electrical education or 5 years of experience
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
• Must be able to use basic tools and perform repairs
