Position Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Engineer in Vero Beach, FL is responsible for completing various tasks to assess the functionality of equipment, as well as troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery and make repairs. This individual is also involved in general maintenance of the facility, including hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical installations, and maintenance. Assignments are likely to be complex and non-routine.

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications, and estimating materials required for the task.

  • Fabrication: experience in working with various types of steel and aluminum, cutting and grinding techniques for materials, welding with different gas and electric equipment, and operating metal lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, cut-off saws, and shears.

  • Electrical components up to 480v

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic components: knowledge of a variety of pumps and compressors, solenoid valves, filters, and regulators.

  • Water systems: expertise in cooling towers, chillers, water heaters, boilers, general water and sewer plumbing, separators, and clarifiers for air and water service.

  • General maintenance of forklifts, pallet jacks, packaging and shipping equipment.

  • General building and grounds maintenance.

Qualifications:

• The ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.

  • Experience in maintenance in a manufacturing setting- Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the operation and repair of: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems, building and grounds maintenance
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Good computer capabilities are required.

• Good oral and written communication in English and ability to follow written work procedures.

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
  • Ability to wear PPE including eye and hearing protection, safety shoes.
