The Glen, a premier Senior Living Community is searching for a qualified Independent Living Manager who will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Redbrook community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the operation and management of the retirement housing community in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of The Glen.

SHIFT is normally an 8-hour shift 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM but could be more or less and hours could be changed depending on the needs of The Glen. (Assignments may vary)
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be people-oriented individual, have good communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills, professional standards and appearance. Should be friendly, out-going and assertive.
  • Experience of three (3) years or more in senior living industry preferred.
  • Good leadership and risk management skills
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Well organized and self-motivated.
  • Computer skills appropriate to job functions
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS :


  • Responsible for day-to-day operation and management of Redbrook housing operation.
  • Performs pre-admission assessments and post-admit assessments following established policies with input from CEO.
  • Ensures that facility complies with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for financial management of operation-budget process, checks and balances, monthly reporting, inventory control and protection of property.
  • Ensures adequate levels of employee staffing and reviews/approves staff schedules.
  • Responsible for recruiting, screening, hiring, orienting and training of staff.
  • Responsible for resident census including phone inquiries, tours of the facility and mailing of marketing materials. Also includes maintaining inquiry/wait list and regularly contacting inquirers. Ensuring optimum/maximum occupancy, revenue and profitability for The Glen.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and competition.
  • Develops and maintains an Emergency Preparedness Plan.
  • Assist Community Engagement Coordinator with the development of resident engagement software
  • Ensures safety of the residents, their visitors and staff regarding Infection Control, Fire, and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Promote occupancy and revenue growth through effective, planned events with input from Marketing Department. Guide, manage and mentor community staff to effectively assist you in reaching occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Responsible for implementation of policies, procedures and job descriptions in accordance with the Glen’s and regulatory requirements.
  • Implements an effective risk management program, using and reviewing incident and accident reports as well as exception reports.
  • Establishes and maintains community relationships which enhance image and services by providing outreach and information to the community.
  • Maintains safe and productive work environment through regular monthly inspections.
  • Establishes relationships with residents, families, visitors and staff that promote productive communication.
  • Assist in planning and implementing resident activities and the monthly activity calendar.
  • Admits and discharges residents in electronic billing/clinical software.
  • Knowledge of KRONOS and ensuring that employees’ time sheets are accurate before submitting to payroll for processing.
  • Responsible for a viable Volunteer Program.
  • Pursues personal growth and development of staff through appropriate education and training
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Fitness Coordinator and Community Engagement Coordinator.
