CliniCore - A full service In-Network Local Louisiana Diagnostic Laboratory is in need of a IN-OFFICE PHLEBOTOMIST IN THE SLIDELL AREA - STARTING MAY 1, 2023. Interviews will be held at the clinic, once you are selected! Your First day of Work will be May 1st, 2023

We are looking for a Phlebotomist to draw blood and other fluid from patients for diagnostic testing in a quick paced/high volume medical practice, in Slidell, Louisiana. General labs, hormones and toxicology samples to be collected

We’ll rely on you to preserve patient health and quality of samples. We’re looking for important phlebotomist skills such as presence of mind, people skills and attention to detail. Licensed Phlebotomist with a minimum of 3 years experience! If you’re dedicated to your patients and have a firm but kind hand/heart, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Draw labs as directed by the providers at the clinic
• Be able to draw multiple tubes, on multiple patients, with multiple tests.
• Identify patients and their personal information using their ID, documents or other means
• Be able to ship samples via Fed Ex on a daily basis
• Determine the right venipuncture method based on patient age, health etc.
• Represent CliniCore Laboratories in a Professional Manner
• Be comfortable handling body fluids such as Urine and Stool
• Draw blood using sterilized needles, vials and other equipment
• Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples
• Label samples correctly with the proper Identifiers
• Be a team player and abide by the clinic's rules
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards while working.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician
• Understand the Order of Draw
• Understanding of proper patient identification methods
• Ability to use computers to enter information
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to connect with various types of patients and make them feel comfortable
• Patience and presence of mind
• Licensed Phlebotomist with a minimum of 3 years experience
