Job SummaryThis role serves as the Human Resources Representative and will provide a broad range of HR generalist activities across the company with talent acquisition and retention being a top priority. A deep understanding of building strong talent acquisition processes and organizational development capabilities will be critical. This role will require HR experience in a distribution center, sales and marketing environment and have a passion for positive communication to build trust, drive engagement and understand the needs of the employees.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServe as the Senior Human Resources Representative to assess, create and rollout people strategies and processes including performance management, employee relations, recruitment, and compensation systems
Will collaborate with the leadership team to understand the department’s complexities before commencing a recruitment process
Accountable for effective execution of the recruiting plan from either internal and/or external talent pools. Ensures development and execution of employee on-boarding program
Coach, develop and implement HR functional excellence continuous improvements across multiple HR work streams including staffing, employee relations, compliance and talent management
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
Implements metrics to measure value, efficiency and effectiveness of processes
Responsible for deploying integrated employee communications plan that aligns key elements of performance culture, talent management, individual development and employee engagement
Ensure consistent, timely and accurate application and compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations and ensures policies and practices are aligned
Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors
Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs
Supports Accounting Dept. in reviewing payroll process to ensure accuracy and compliance with FLSA
Works with the leadership team to encourage a positive and safe working environment and provide support and guidance as needed
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings

Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources management or equivalent
Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in the Human Resources field
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
Experience in educating and coaching staff
Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations
Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy
Ability to give presentations
Strong communication and written skills English and Spanish a must
PHR or SHRM-CP certification, preferable
Knowledge of payroll system and Employee Navigator for benefits, a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and distribution center environment and is regularly exposed to dust, odors or airborne particles. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, must be able to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
