Job description
Stress Care of New Jersey is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to perform duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures. Daily tasks will include scheduling applicants, assisting with maintaining personnel records, and maintaining a positive work environment. Success for the Human Resources Generalist is measured in terms of employee recruitment, satisfaction, development, retention, and achievement of established goals and performance indicators.
In this role, you will:
- Protect confidentiality in regards to company and employee information (including pay, demographics, discipline, accommodation requests, family matters, etc.)
- Maintain working knowledge of policies and procedures, pay practices, employee benefits, employment laws, and communicate understanding and utilization with employees
- Coordinate hiring needs with senior leadership and conduct initial interview of job applicants.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and regular check-ins
- Investigate causes of employee disputes and grievances and recommends corrective action
- Fairly and consistently ensures compliance with Stress Care of New Jersey policies and procedures
The ideal candidate has:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or translatable social field
- Previous work experience in Human Resources, Health Care is highly preferable!
- Professional skills: excellent communication (written and spoken), organization while multitasking, solution focused problem-solving, attention to detail, quick decision-making, effective time management, and ability to work independently within the team
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude at all times
