Description Summary: Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing a dedicated HR service to all employees and managers. This candidate will act as a first line of assistance to all colleagues, providing advice and supporting managers on a range of employment issues, employee benefits, discipline, performance management, recruiting and safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain and foster Royal’s culture through fair and consistent application and interpretation of company policies and practices.
· Perform onboarding and new hire orientations.
· Review payroll system entries and submit, including PTO, non-PTO, Holidays, or any other absences and tardies.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to HR Director.
· Recruit for all open positions in the company with the use of multiple resources.
· Coordinate with the HR Director and keep up to date current safety program.
· Assist with employee trainings, wellness events, promote wellness, recognition events, and arrange annual benefit information meetings.
· Assist with administering employee benefits including medical, dental, retirement, FMLA, Cobra, and Worker’s Compensation.
· Monitor the annual performance reviews and administer paperwork.
· Back up for time and attendance and labor reporting and payroll.
· All other projects as assigned.
Job Skills and Requirements
· Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field or a minimum of 5+ HR Generalist Experience.
· Must have experience in HR Administration as well as excellent MS office skills. Prior experience with implementing a HRIS system a plus.
· Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
