The Select Group of Companies is looking for a tech savvy, detail-oriented candidate capable of working independently to complete a high volume of complex Human Resource and administrative procedures accurately and timely. The ideal candidate will be customer focused, have a strong attention to detail, able to multitask while managing frequent interruptions, able to work in a team environment, and are committed to quality service and continuous improvement.

Compensation: $64,480 to $70,000 per year depending upon education, experience, and qualifications.

JOB DETAILS:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive office support for personnel activities including benefit administration, 401k retirement plan administration, labor relations, workers compensation, leaves of absence, investigations, safety program, and recruitment. The ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and positively by phone, email, and in-person is important in this role.

This position requires your in-person attendance within our Yuba City corporate headquarters on a daily basis. No remote work is available.

What we’d like you to bring:

· Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business management, or a related field, or a combination of equivalent education and work experience in Human Resources.

· 3 to 5 years of recent Human Resources experience.

· HR Generalist, PHR, or SPHR certification desired

· Notary Commission (must be willing to obtain)

· Experience in employee relations, labor relations, federal and state labor laws, wage and hour laws, leaves of absence, benefits, 401k plan, and Safety Program administration.

· ADP TotalSource experience helpful

· May involve some travel within Northern CA and NV

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Recruitment and talent acquisition utilizing LinkedIn, Facebook, and other related social websites. Employee onboarding/offboarding/promotions/transfers, performance management, employee relations, diversity, employee training.

· Administration of company policies and procedures, compensation and benefits, leaves of absence, workers compensation, and safety programs.

· Acts as a liaison between departments, employees, and all levels of management.

· Conducts effective investigations and recommends resolutions. Ensures parties are treated with respect, dignity, and fairness without retaliation or discrimination.

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· Ability to learn, understand, communicate, explain, and apply federal, state, and local statues and regulations pertaining to Human Resources laws, regulations, and procedures.

· Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing, with proper use of English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Strong interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Utilize time management techniques to organize and prioritize work.

· Exceptional numerical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving abilities. Efficient research and investigation capabilities to resolve complaints. Ability to effectively analyze data and provide recommendations.

· Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive information and files.

· Ability to maintain a complex database and management information system, perform at an intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel, learn a variety of hardware/software, type accurately at 45 words per minute or better.

· Ability to develop and maintain professional business relationships at all levels within and outside of the company. Create an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect among managers, staff, and vendors.

· Administer and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Recommends and implements techniques to improve department policies and procedures.

· Achieve short-term and long-term departmental goals consistently.
