Jay’s Catering, located in Garden Grove, has served Orange County as a leader in the hospitality industry for over 50 years and is looking for a passionate and dedicated individual. The main focus of this position is on Compensation and Benefits. It’s required that candidates be bilingual (English & Spanish). A portion of the job will entail assisting with planning and coordination of celebrations and employee events!

The Jay’s family of brands includes Jay’s Catering, Ellie’s Table Egan House in San Juan Capistrano, Ellie’s Table at the Boardwalk and multiple exclusive venues.

Pay:
$24-$27 / hour

Job Description:
· Bilingual (English and Spanish)

· Administer the company benefit programs including medical, dental, life, cobra, and 401 (k); and assist in the administration of Workers Comp/OSHA and Leave of Absence Programs.

· Process benefit transactions in the company’s HRIS System (ADP Workforce Now).

· Provide high-touch service with internal departments and employees related to benefit issues, eligibility, enrollment terminations, and all benefit related items.

· Provide reporting out of HRIS System.

· Responsible for annual open enrollment planning and execution.

· Assist new hires and other newly benefits-eligible team members with benefits enrollment, answer questions, and ensure items are received and understood.

· Resolve team members’ issues and questions related to benefit plans and leaves of absences.

· Serve as liaison with benefit vendors for accurate enrollment/changes through electronic files and vendor websites/portals.

· Recruiting, create job postings using the HRIS System (ADP, Indeed, ZIP Recruiter, etc.), screening candidates, coordinating interviews with the appropriate hiring manager, new hire packages and new hire orientation.

· Create a positive new hire experience by coordinating team member onboarding, facilitating orientation, and serving as the liaison to new hires during the onboarding process.

· Maintain processes such as team member onboarding and off-boarding, transfers, and terminations.

· Monitor I-9 and e-verify systems to ensure proper compliance.

· Execute HR special projects such as revising the Employee Handbook or completing an HRIS audit.

· Create and maintain employee files, ensuring completeness, accuracy and confidentiality across various systems.

· Nurture a positive work environment.

· Assist with planning and coordination of celebrations and team member events.
