ISSA is looking for an HR Generalist!
REMOTE, but must reside in ISSA-eligible state (AZ, UT, NV, ID, OR, TX, IL, IN, MN, OH, FL, SC)

Job Summary:

The ISSA People Operations team strives to create and deliver a seamless and positive experience across the entire candidate and employee lifecycle. Leading with intention, empathy and contagious enthusiasm, our team develops efficient and simple people processes, systems, policies, and programs. You will act as a business partner to functional leadership teams, as well as a hands-on generalist for all things people-related including onboarding, talent review and assessment, career development, succession planning, internal mobility, engagement action planning and rewards/recognition. This position reports to the VP of People Operations.

Responsibilities:

Benefits and Compliance
  • Oversee all employee benefit programs to ensure they are properly administered and compliant
  • Evaluate the rate structure and work with the benefits broker to recommend changes to benefit plans to improve coverage and/or deliver cost effective benefits
  • Respond to all employee questions pertaining to health and benefit plans, policies, or other general human resources questions
  • Ensure compliance with local state and county laws, including required submission of reports, by staying current on local ordinances
  • Perform intake for employee leave requests and administer leaves according to the policies including managing the leave from absence to return
  • Gather and analyze employee, team, and company data including turnover and termination details
Compensation
  • Review compensation across ISSA monthly, and work with Finance to ensure compensation per role is competitive and equitable
  • Advise leadership on variable compensation recommendations
  • Review all commissioned compensation monthly and ensure commission plans are effective
ISSA Team Engagement
  • Work with managers and employees on all employee relations issues, and provide guidance as needed ( terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, performance issues)
  • Keep a firm pulse on promotion pathways and ensure communication is robust
  • Work with the People Operations Specialist to plan and help execute a diverse calendar of team and staff activities
  • Act as coach to the People Operations Specialist
People Ops (HR) Administration
  • Craft, write and release organizational announcements and other employee communications
  • Maintain and manage complete employee files, including change notifications, benefits forms, compensation updates, policy documentation, etc.
  • Own the HRIS and ensure information is accurate
  • Streamline team processes and procedures, gain efficiencies through automation, and implement improvement initiatives
What is ISSA looking for:
  • 4+ years blended HR experience with an understanding across all People Operations disciplines including talent acquisition, employment, benefits, compensation, employee relations and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail - accuracy a must
  • Strong organizational and time management skills – ability to order competing priorities is critical
  • Advanced computer skills to include Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • PHR certification preferred or strong desire to attain it in the near future
