Housing Quality Standards (HQS) Inspector

Job Description:

We are looking for self-motivated individuals that can work well with the residents in our community by conducting routine housing and property inspections.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform daily physical inspections of rental housing units and document findings
• Generate maintenance and pest control work orders
• Enforce lease and housing quality rules
• Interact with residents and maintain excellent relations
• Assist supervisor as needed
• Oversee general property curb appeal and report findings
• Accompany contractors in units
• Distribute general notices and lease violations
• Document daily activity

Skills:

To perform this job successfully, the employee should have strong communication and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook). Must have the ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to perform daily inspections
• Must be able to tolerate in/outdoor work year-round
• Must be customer service oriented
• Adhere to Federal Fair Housing Laws.
• Must pass a background check prior to employment.

Physical Dimensions:

Moderate work: Must be able to walk 3-5 miles per day, climb stairs, bend and stoop, observation in all levels of lighting.
