POSITION: Full Time Coordinated Entry
Do you want to work for a leader in Crisis Intervention and Community Resources who provides opportunities for professional growth? We are looking for a dynamic compassionate individual to work a flexible full-time schedule in our Housing and Homeless Outreach Programs. The candidate will be trained and supervised on an ongoing basis to ensure their success. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to be a good communicator, well versed in computer databases, a critical thinker and good collaborator. The individual will be working with a number of stakeholders in the community.
Help Network of Northeast Ohio began in 1971 and is 24 hours a day 7 days a week Crisis Intervention/Suicide Prevention and Information Referral Agency. Today Help Network answers 6,000 calls a month and provides 15 other programs throughout the Valley including Guardianship and Payeeship services, Victims’ Assistance, education, and prevention surrounding mental illness and addiction, along with housing to name a few. Help
Network is certified by The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and accredited by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS), Association of Information and Referral Services (AIRS) and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (C.A.R.F.)
Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. AA/BA in social work or related field preferred
The successful candidate will be part of the Agency’s Housing and Homeless Outreach Programs.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work and support systems that help individuals and families secure appropriate housing while concurrently developing methods to effectively measure outcomes.
- Enter client data into HUD’s Homelessness Management Information System (HMIS), screening to match families with the best-fit program.
- Review and prepare reports related to the operation of the coordinated entry program and special projects.
- Provide general support to other departments as needed including statistical data reporting.
- Coordination to maximize usage of available system capacity among all participating service providers.
- Must have knowledge and awareness of the housing stabilization and housing first approach and will coach staff on these principles.
- Should have a good understanding of the resources available to the often-complex needs of individual and families in Mahoning County experiencing the trauma of a housing crisis.
Salary Range: $15.00-$16.00 includes paid holidays and paid sick. Up to 40 hours per week
