About the Holiday Inn Binghamton

Located in the heart of Downtown Binghamton, the hotel is just steps from the Broome County Arena, terrific restaurants & shopping, and conveniently located to Binghamton University. The hotel offers 237 spacious guestrooms, over 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, and indoor pool, full-service restaurant with room service and numerous guest amenities.

We are currently looking for a Houseperson to perform the following:

• Takes care of common areas in a hotel, such as the lobby, restrooms and pool area.
• Provides housekeepers with the items needed to clean guest rooms and helps stock the carts.
• Responsible for more labor-intensive tasks, such as flipping mattresses, hanging pictures and moving furniture or debris.
• Works closely with hotel supervisors to ensure that all room accessories and electronics are in working order.
• To comply with security regulations.
• Restock the housekeeping shelves.
• Make sure that outside areas, like patios and pool areas, are kept clean, tidy and in working order.

Each hotel follows its own housekeeping guidelines and standards, which may depend on whether it's part of a large chain or a boutique inn.

Requirements:

• Must be detail-oriented
• Have good customer service skills
• Be able to lift heavy items
• Understand cleaning basics

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: Preferred but not required

Special Physical Requirements of the Job/Working Conditions: Stand for long periods of time, use of hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms.

Required to work night shift 3 PM to 11 PM with flexible schedule based on the needs of the business
