Centrica Care Navigators, Formerly Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, is currently seeking a part-time Certified Nurse Aide to join the day shift team at Rose Arbor, our 18-bed hospice residence in Kalamazoo. This day shift (7:00pm – 7:30am) position works (3) 12-hour shifts a week. The Hospice Aide performs various services for a client as necessary to meet the client's personal needs, promote comfort, and enable the client to live in a comfortable environment. Additional duties of this position include:
- Performs personal care needs after given a client's assignment and attends to their requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the RN or designee immediately.
- Provides or assists clients in all aspects of personal care, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, changing bed linen as part of the Plan of Care.
- Performs range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (within the training limitations of the Aide).
- Assists in dressing and undressing and feeding the client as assigned.
- Assists with preparing meals, laundry, and other household tasks, in accordance with the Plan of Care.
Requirements for this position include:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Maintains license as a Certified Nurse's Aide from the State of Michigan.
- Maintains current BLS certification.
- Minimum of one-year previous experience providing direct care.
- Remains up-to-date on all routine immunizations required by LARA and agency policy. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
