Position Summary
The Scheduler/Dispatcher is responsible for logistic operations of the home inspection team. This position will be expected to work directly with different team members to coordinate and provide direction on home inspections. The Scheduler/Dispatcher will also be responsible for managing the documentation of the work from dispatch through completion of work.
Position Responsibilities
- Enter new jobs in the electronic ticketing system and utilize various electronic platforms to maintain the understanding of the current job status.
- Coordinates with inspectors and other departments to resolve problems that arise during future scheduling needs. Implements plans to correct operational issues.
- Ensures changes are published and communicated to affected team members in a timely manner.
- Processes future inspection swaps, sick calls, emergency leaves and other daily schedule modifications. Assigns future open schedules.
- Provides excellent and timely customer service while adhering to all established deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to anticipate operational disruptions and solve them in a proactive manner.
- Makes decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies.
- Experience with various forms of office software and equipment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to be flexible during organizational changes (i.e. expanding a department).
- Takes initiative and willing to come up with creative solutions.
- Experience with phone systems including multiple lines, office equipment and software systems.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Easily adaptable to challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- 2 to 3 years of previous scheduling and mapping experience required.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
- Quality assurance experience preferred.
