JOB PURPOSE:

Assumes management responsibility for the fiscal and operational activities of Best Choice - Home Care organization. Responsible for long-range planning, organizing, directing, and staffing of the organization. Plans and develops new programs and establishes mechanisms for measuring quality care and organizational performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures continued growth by expanding new and existing client base.
  • Managing employees in the provision of care and services rendered in accord with professional standards and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
  • Develop and direct the management of clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure clients, employees, contractor’s satisfaction, cost-efficient processes, and outstanding home care services.
  • Collaborating with consultants, contractors, referring physicians, community resources, government agencies, and advocacy groups.
  • Implementing operational and financial objectives and allocating resources in an efficient and economical manner to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each patient.
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of Best Choice programs.
  • Provides both operational and business development oversight to all Best Choice Home Care programs.

§ Obtains and maintains current information and knowledge of the Home Care environment and evaluates the appropriate strategies and tactical approaches to that environment.

  • Actively promote Best Choice Home Care programs to the community, major customers, government agencies, and organizations. Develops and maintains relationships with leaders of other health care organizations.

§ Researches new opportunity viability and determines the best course of action to achieve the organization’s short-term and long-term business objectives with a focus on new business development and strategic alliances.

§ Provides leadership and support related to compliance activities; monitors and ensures Compliance with all regulatory standards.

§ Interfaces and communicates with DOH, CMS, JCAHO, and other Federal, State, and local government agencies on behalf of the organization and utilizes and implements a wide range of continuous quality improvement strategies.

  • Works with upper management to establish overall growth and new development strategies and translate those strategies into operational plans. Establishes performance metrics by business unit and reports outcomes to the CEO.

§ Implements controls and effective utilization of the financial resources of the organization, employing a system of responsible budgeting practices.

§ Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and present suggestions to CEO for consideration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in health care administration, nursing, business, or other healthcare-related fields required. Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration preferred.

Experience: Possesses a minimum of four (4) years of senior management experience in a Licensed Home Care Agency (LHCSA – CHHA) experience and a minimum of three (3) years of management experience in a Long-Term Home Health Care Program, with strong focus on sales/business development; Budget.

Other: Exemplary leadership, organizational interpersonal, and communication skills exp with a large multi-service healthcare provider is necessary, as is demonstrable knowledge/competence in community health principles, practices, and administration; and healthcare reimbursement and financial analysis/management.
