Principal Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment in a clean and efficient manner
• Experience in the following heavy equipment operation is ideal: Front End Loader, Motor Grader, Skid Steer, Truck Driving
• Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
• General knowledge of day-to-day construction operations
• Experience in snow removal
• Willingness to learn new procedures or tasks
• Assures unit is never operated in an unsafe manner
• Production driven
• Must be willing to maintain equipment in addition to other duties
• Follow good construction safety practices and following company code of ethics, policies and procedures
• Ability to read and understand grade stakes
• Able to measure, mark and record areas where work is to be performed and has been completed
• Weekly thorough completion and submittal of field logs and timesheets
• Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, the ability to track, record and plan materials, be able to work safely and promote a safe work environment; comply with all DOT requirements
• Work in various weather and job location conditions
• Assist with other landscape/construction tasks as needed

Requirements/Qualifications * Prior experience working in the construction environment preferred

• Ability to read and layout plans, with grading being a key part
• Knowledge and proficient use of a transit to establish grades, footing heights, wall heights, etc.
• Basic math skills. Ability to calculate yardage, toneage, square feet, etc.
• Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment
• Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
• Ability to lift, bend, and climb routinely

Qualifications * 5+ years’ experience in machine and equipment operation

• Driver’s License
• Hoisting/Hydraulics License'
