Friendship Senior Options is currently hiring for a full time Healthcare Liaison at its Friendship Village of Schaumburg location. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a marketing plan to successfully achieve the community's goals which include: fortifying partnerships with the ACO, working with hospital discharge planners in and around the community; having the clinical ability to make accurate assessments of prospective residents; have the ability to tour our residents and families and directing them to the features of the healthcare center that best meets their needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to develop and implement a written marketing plan with the stated criteria to successfully achieve the community's goals.
- Can work with the hospital discharge planners in and around the community.
- Can tour families and residents, directing them to the features of the healthcare center that best meets their needs.
- Identify social workers from the ACO, develop relationships, and report on statistics and overall care management of ACO patients.
- Excellent follow-up skills.
- Must have the ability to work with all professional levels of management.
- Having a thorough knowledge and understanding of Friendship Village Community/Briarwood Healthcare Center and resident lifestyle; can demonstrate the advantages the community has to offer prospective residents.
- Have a thorough understanding of leadership development, referral, and the sales process.
- Have knowledge of the local political climate, area business leaders, civic leaders and key centers of influence within Friendship Village Primary Market Area.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills; can speak professionally and with confidence about all aspects of senior living including the nuances of independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing services.
- Can plan, coordinate and direct marketing and resident events and create newsletters and critical communiques.
- Ability to analyze the local market regarding the Continuum Care Community concept.
- Demonstrate a strong clinical background combined with the knowledge of the facility's clinical competencies to accept referrals readily.
- Needs to have the knowledge base of the cost of treatments for specific illnesses along with knowledge of expensive medications ordered for different types of referrals to help determine acceptance to the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred RN, and or LPN License
- Preferred Masters degree in a relative field from an accredited university.
- Required Bachelor's degree in a relative field from an accredited university.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of Long-Term Care experience.
