The Group Home Manager at our South Street Group Home is responsible for the daily operations of South Street Group Home, the supervision of the group home staff, the case management of residents, and adherence to regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or other Human Services field.
- Three years relevant experience and at least one year in a residential setting.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Availability:
- Full time, 40 hrs. per week. Some weekends and holidays required.

Requirements:
STAFF DEVELOPMENT: Provides direct supervision to residential staff; coordinates scheduling of time according to the needs of the program; participates in and co-leads staff meetings; advocates for the staff; conducts performance evaluations; participates in selection of new staff and hiring process; provides orientation to newly hired staff; insures completion of orientation checklist.
CLIENT SERVICES: Provides case management to residents of the group home and to consumers residing in the community: establishes service goals; assists consumers in obtaining benefits; provides direction of ADLs for consumers; assists in following treatment plans; provides basis for money management skills; acts as direct line for consumers to case manager, therapists, and medical director by attending disposition meeting as needed and Treatment Team meetings; communicates with other service providers both in and out of the agency.
HEALTH RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures coordination of medical appointments for residents and to consumers residing in the community; ensures medical needs of the residents are met. Supports consumers in taking their prescribed medication. Facilitates good relationships between CRT and community physicians.
RECORD KEEPING: Responsible for accurate record keeping in conjunction with consumer bills of residential program; monitors paperwork of staff; is responsible for documentation required for clinical records; keeps activity log of all consumers admitted to the residential program.
AGENCY PARTICIPATION: Attends managers’ meetings; works with division director and medical director in providing services to clients in crisis. Consults with Division Director about residential needs of CRT clients.
